DATE OF ESTABLISHMENT: The Gallery was opened within the rooms of the celebrated  Real Collegio Capizzi in 2001, following a large donation of artwork by the local artist, Nunzio Sciavarrello.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The Gallery houses numerous paintings and sculptures of commendable artistic, cultural, and social value.  The gallery came into existence thanks to the efforts of Nunzio Sciavarrello, a well-known artist from Bronte.  Sciavarrello decided to donate his rich and significant private collection of works, assembled over the course of his professional career, for the creation of a gallery in his native city of Bronte.  Thanks to his contribution and immense generosity it was possible to set up a display of Sciavarrello’s own works, as well as those of other important Sicilian artists of the 20th century.  Among the collection one can admire works by:
